Walk a few blocks west and you are in the thick of the Fisherman's Wharf. All sorts of shops and tourist attractions. Walk or take a bus up the hill and you are in the historic North Beach district which is adjacent to Chinatown, and Chinatown connects to Union Square. Take the F-Line trolley from Market Street at Union Square and it will take you east on Market St. and along the waterfront and all the way back to Pier 39 where you can enjoy a glass of wine on the Top Deck of your yacht while thinking about of all the great things you saw, smelled and tasted along the way. SF is all about it's Neighborhoods and this little itinerary will allow you to experience a full day's worth of sights and below are what we think are the highlights.

Fisherman's Wharf.
1. Go Sailing with SF Sailing Company
2. Visit the Historic Ships at Pier 47
3. Rent a bicycle and ride along the entire north waterfront then across the Golden Gate Bridge and take the ferry back from Sausulito to Pier 41 which is only a few hundred feet from your home.

North Beach
1. A recent addition, but a great one get a slice at Tony's Pizza
2. Three doors up get a cocktail at Tony Niks cafe. They don't serve food, the word "cafe" carries on from the prohibition. You will feel it the minute you walk in.
4. Cafe Trieste - Get an Africano dubbed a short double latte and immerse yourself into the Beat Generation and the first counter culture movement to hit the West Coast. Jack Kerouac, Ginsberg and all their counterpart have all sat in these chairs. Also Francis Ford Coppola wrote part of the Godfather sitting in this cafe.
5. Seafood and chowder at Gigi's Sotto Mare. Hands down the best.
7. City Lights book store for more beat history and the Visuvio's across the street, think poetry when you walk in.

Chinatown.
1. Dim sum, fortune cookie factory, and just an interesting cultural experience. Remember this is the oldest Chinatown in all of America.

Union Square.
1. Shop till you drop.

Ferry Building.
